Gold Watch

I bought this beautiful fake gold watch for $18 dollars. It looked very expensive and was simply fabulous on my wrist.
I showed my new watch to my boyfriend, regrettably!!!!?
He quickly questioned its authenticity and laughed, because it isn’t like me to purchase inexpensive jewelry. I told him to “shut up” because it looks fab and I was proud of my budget shopping capabilities. He said it looked horribly fake. As long as my wrist doesn’t turn green; I’m cool with it.
A week later, I was teaching new hires how to accurately perform manual blood pressures. I quickly looked towards my wrist and noticed it appeared slightly bruised. Upon closer inspection, I noticed it was not bruised, but instead green which I quickly wiped away. Then I noticed my whole wrist was green and since I had to remove my watch….I made a joke about it to the new hires. They simply stared at me dumb founded versus humored:( I asked how much they thought I had spent on the watch? The response was $25! WTF?!?!?!
Oh well, never again:((((((
