About 40 years ago, my (ex)-fiancee one night got out the Ouija board game. We faffed about but it was making little sense at first then started scooting about the board too quickly for us to follow. So we swapped the board for an upturned tumbler and a circle of Lexicon game cards.
All three of us (her brother was also playing) touched the glass and it instantly sprung into action. It repeatedly spelt out DEATH. Her brother laughed it off, excused himself and went to bed, which convinced us he’d been messing about and trying to frighten us. So my fiancee and I resumed, and the tumbler became even more agitated, writing out DEATH repeatedly.
Suddenly, the family dog squealed loudly then shot into a corner shaking uncontrollably, just as the tumbler shattered on the floor. At 8am the following morning two police officers knocked on the door to tell us that my fiancee’s father, who’d been away on work business, had died suddenly the previous evening.
